Ahhh restrictions again!!!

I think the secret to surviving restrictions/lockdowns is to keep busy and productive so I have put together this little check list for you.

Here are 15 ways to help you fight the lock down blues and launch your business on the other side prepared for future growth. I've also added some personal boredom busting ideas below.

So here they are, in no particular order...

  • Is your website up to date – this is a great way to spend a few hours being creative and making sure you are ready to take on the world once this lockdown is over.

  • Pre-design promotions for Facebook, Instagram and any other social media posts you have to keep up to date – TIP if you haven’t discovered Canva yet pop on over and lose a few hours unleashing your inner creative genius! Here is a link for you:

  • Contact your suppliers to touch base with them – networking is super important right now.

  • Contact future couples, again, communication is key and many of them would be freaking out right now. A quick email, “just checking in with you” would go a long way to help them feel supported.

  • This is also a great time to revisit your stock if you have products – what do you want to sale, anything you want to add to your portfolio?

  • Time to update your packages? Review what is working (selling) and what isn’t, if you need to make some adjustments this is the time to do it. Sometimes a small tweak is all you need to make a big impact.

  • Check work equipment – makes sure everything is still fit for purpose – a great time to make repairs if required.

  • Check your insurance policy – is it up to date? If it’s about to expire, this could be a great time to shop around for a new policy.

  • Do you have a Covid plan – this is a forever changing document which will be required moving forwards, so a great time to get on top of this! Here is a link for more info:

  • Time to look into promotional options to advertise your business moving forwards. We have a special offer at the moment – you can book a listing on the for just $55 for the year (normally $88)- Sorry I had to drop that in :) We also have our virtual wedding expo which is a fantastic and affordable way to connect with couples (Just $220 for 4 months (+ video if required))

  • Its free to support fellow businesses by searching for their social media pages and following them, I'm sure they will return the favour and be very grateful of your support.

  • Business plan, do you have one? Is it current? This is a great way to stay focused on future goals and will keep you busy for the rest of the week.

  • End of financial year again (that came around fast didn't it) Are your books in order?

  • How about your Super, do you need to make a contribution? Now is the time to get this sorted. Self contributions that are eligible for a Government contribution need to be made by the 25th June.

  • Lastly, be kind to yourself, take some time out to relax and spend with family, before we know it, we will all be busy again.

Additional Tip...what I'm currently doing - cleaning out my email inbox!* Yikes that hasn't been done for a while - how about yours?

Personal Tips...Whilst its great to be productive and work on your business, its also important to look after yourself! Here are some boredom busting ideas just for you!

  • Gym is back - if you have a membership pop on in for a quick workout.

  • No Gym membership - go for a walk, or if its raining, search You Tube for a homework out, they are free and a great way to release some feel good endorphins.

  • Treat yourself! Money might be tight at the moment, but even if you just spend $10 on yourself you will feel better - maybe a coffee and a cake (don't worry you can work off the calories during your workout - life is all about balance isn't it)

  • Shops are all open, pop down - there are real people there! It's great to see people again :)

  • Call or catch up with a friend, nothing like a chat to refresh and refocus.

  • If you have free time, clean out your wardrobe. Try on your clothes, and donate the ones that don't fit or work for you anymore to charity.

  • Watch something funny - laughter is the best medicine.

  • Cook, bake, clean - just keep busy!

With every update we are getting a step closer to getting back to work, we might not be there just yet, but we are moving in the right direction, so don't give up - keep going!

Want to add to our tips, simply email yours to us and we will add them -.

*offer does not extend to cleaning out your email inbox - you are on your own with that one :)
